Physician Resources and Research
The National Pancreas Foundation’s primary mission is to raise and direct funds to worthy research projects in the field of pancreas disease. NPF is the only foundation that supports research in pancreatic cancer and acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis and pediatric pancreatitis. For years, the medical industry has turned away from those with pancreatic disease. The pancreas has remained a mysterious “black box” to many researchers, doctors, and their frustrated patients.

The momentum is changing! Nationwide comprehensive research studies in the area of genetics of familial pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis have discovered several answers leading to preventive treatments and cures for pancreatic disease. Advances in pain management are critical to an enhanced life style for patients. More information and the grant application is available in the grants and awards section.
